Another new Google Blog...for our Russian-speaking users. The first post is a welcome note, of sorts, from Vladimir Dolgov -- Country Manager of our Russian operations. I suspect Sergey will be watching this one closely...

Agassi...eye shadow leads to greatness?

A great read about one of my childhood heros...

The first time Carillo saw Agassi play, he was wearing blue eye shadow.

"I kid you not, blue eye makeup," Carillo recalled, laughing. "He was 15, I think, and I was visiting Bollettieri's academy and Nick Bollettieri said to me, `Mary, you gotta see this kid.' Andre had long streaked hair, and was hitting every ball as hard as he possibly could. He was quick and nimble, and even though the balls were going all over the place, in the fence, everywhere, he was striking such a clean ball it was clear he had huge potential."

Taking some time...

...away from the busy pace of the Googleplex. Inspired by short, but wonderful hiatus in March, I'll be doing non-Google things for the next two weeks. My adventures started today at a 3-year-old b-day party at Lemos Farm in Half Moon Bay. A number of Ari's friends were there (including Kai, the birthday boy). Highlights included the pony rides (a first for little man) and a choo choo ride through a haunted town (Ari kept saying..."bones!").
