Google + Napster?

I feel compelled to squash another rumor...this time, related to Google's supposed interest in acquiring Napster. Here's our public comment...

"We have no plans to acquire Napster, nor do we have plans to develop a music store at this time. Google recently introduced a music search feature that offers users faster access to music-related information they are searching for. For certain music-related queries, we display links to 3rd party sites where interested users can purchase music directly."

Lots of chatter about Google Video today. This amusing find underscores for me why this service is so much fun! Don't forget to upload your best footage directly to our servers...[BETA, of course]

Another cute Google cartoon...

Spotted in New Zealand...

Dennis Hwang. Genius.

While I heard a few "huh's?" about Dennis' recent holiday Doodle series...he's back at it again with a genius Doodle honoring Louis Braille's birthday.

Google Cube? Google PC?

Nah, I don't think so. More wildly speculative predictions about what Google may do in '06, perhaps as soon as later this week at CES (!!). Our response (you'll see this in related articles shortly): we have a number of PC partners who serve their markets exceedingly well and we see no need to enter this market; we would rather partner with great companies.
