Happy 6th Birthday, Google!

Happy Birthday to my favorite search engine! Today's date technically represents the day the company was incorporated and the start of payroll. Shortly after the 7th, the Google.com URL began pointing traffic to our borrowed Stanford servers (google.stanford.edu). Then, later in the year, we eventually began to run Google on our own machines, hosted at a local datacenter.
